		<description><![CDATA[Don&#039;t forget Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner.  I hate books where the dog dies, in general, but when the dog dies trying to win a race which will save the farm.  Ugh.  What happens after the death of Searchlight, is the sad icing on the sad cake.

When I read it to my class of 4th graders, I had to xerox the last chapter and have them read it to themselves.  And, yes, I passed out a tissue along with the pages.]]></description>
